To Struggle is Human.

Being authentic and vulnerable about your struggles, rather than hiding them, allows others to support you, builds community, and makes each person’s individual struggle a little less arduous.

Pausing and being present and allowing the discomfort also helps.

We are all learning to find space and grace and compassion for our struggles. Especially in the moment in time we each find ourselves in.

When we learn to to accept that at any given moment “everything is as it should be” and that we are “exactly where we are supposed to be” --- even when we are struggling and even when massive change is needed, our experience of life is much more smooth.

These thoughts helps to take the struggle out of the struggle. This changes everything for the better.

And it is ongoing work.

Could you decide to be learning or growing instead of struggling?

Could you stop resisting your inner struggles, and embrace them as part of “full spectrum” living?

When I learned to accept the discomfort rather than resisting it, it made my path much more smooth.

Of course I don't enjoy feeling uncertain.

Of course I don't enjoy feeling inadequate or not enough.

Of course I don't enjoy the stress of teaching a teenager to drive.

Of course I don't enjoy it when my husband is cranky.

Of course I don’t enjoy the restrictions and challenges of a pandemic.

Of course I am angry about injustice and inequality.

What is in my control is choosing to allow myself to struggle and feel the feelings - all of them.

And then, with intention, to choose the thoughts I want to think about it all, and how I want to show up for it all.

I learned this, and continue to practice it ongoing, through coaching.

Are ready to stop struggling about struggling?
