"Working with Jessie during this time has been one of the best decisions I've made professionally. She is simply amazing.”
Stop waiting for things to get better and start making them better
After twenty years of working on wellness for a large healthcare organization, I can confidently say that mindfulness and mindset work is the one intervention that actually changes our experience in the long term.
Numerous randomized controlled studies confirm this.
“Coaching doesn’t even begin to explain the fascinating transformation. Jessie is phenomenal.”
In professional training and higher education, we were taught specific ways of thinking that helped us make it through.
These exact thought patterns make it harder for us to have sustainable, satisfying, and healthy careers, relationships, and lives. These ways of thinking lead to stress and distress. They lead to over-functioning, over-responsibility, overgiving, and overwhelm.
Once you are aware of your patterns. You can unlearn them.
When you work with me, you will learn “untrain” your brain of these costly habits so you can find clarity and a more fulfilled, healthier, and happier path forward.
"Working with Jessie has been a lightbulb turning on. It has helped me to see things in a completely new way. I have never felt more at peace and able to cope with uncertainty. My stress level is almost nonexistent.”

FAQ’s
What is different about working with me (as opposed to the many other coaches out there)?
I am an experienced and highly-trained coach.
Coaching is not my side gig. It's my primary, more than full-time job. Since 2020, I have coached well over a thousand successful people just like you.
I take my craft seriously.
I have invested more money into my coach training than I did for my medical training. (To be fair, I went to UCSF back when it was still fairly inexpensive). I am currently completing my third coaching certification. (with Martha Beck and The International Coaching Federation). Just like medicine, coaching is lifelong learning. In addition to my coaching certifications, I bring my Ivy League psychology degree, my UCSF medical degree, and yoga and mindfulness certifications to all of my coaching.
Coaching is a way to optimize human performance. A sophisticated understanding of neuroscience, physiology, and psychology is critical for achieving transformational and sustainable results. As a high-achiever myself, I understand the problems of those who are successful on the surface yet struggling underneath. I understand how we were trained to think, what was required to get where we are, and the negative costs of continuing these habits and thinking patterns.
I bring a deep wisdom and lived experience to my coaching.
20+ years as a pediatrician working with parents and the complexities of families in both hospitals and clinics. 18 years of physician leadership with one of the largest medical organizations in the country. I have been a physician wellness leader since 2003. I am not simply jumping on the cure burnout bandwagon. I have been an operational leader my entire career. My roles ranged from site chief, assistant chief, module lead, and parent advisory committee leader, to name a few I have also been an educator. As a volunteer clinical professor at UCSF, I taught medical students and residents for over 20 years. I am a mom of three young adults, a mother-in-law, a new grandma, and the daughter of aging parents. I have also successfully navigated a neurodiverse marriage for 31 years.
I have worked with my own coaches for over eight years.
Coaching got me where I am today and keeps me moving toward my highest, wisest, and happiest self.
When you sign up to coach with me, you get me, and only me.
I don't subcontract out my clients to other coaches. I don't rely on pre-recorded lectures. I don't have a "team." I answer your emails myself.
I am not trying to maximize my personal profit at your expense. I know your time is valuable. I want you to get what you need efficiently and I want those changes to last.
My coaching groups are small, intimate, and nurturing experiences - on purpose.
I know of no other coaches who regularly run groups like mine.
My "niche" is you.
I offer high-touch, high-value, nurturing, mindful, creative coaching for your entire being. You are a complex, multi-dimensional human.
My employer has HR/EAP "coaching" that is less expensive than working with you. Should I do that instead?
It depends on the training, experience, and quality of the coaches offered. Your time is extremely valuable and the stakes are high. Ineffective coaching is much more costly in the long run--even when that coaching was "free." When you coach with me, you get what you pay for. Coaching with me is 100% confidential and completely separate from your employment. Your employer will never know anything discussed during our coaching sessions, or even that you are being coached. The type of coaching offered also matters. It's worth clarifying if it is wellness coaching, mindset coaching, charting coaching, efficiency coaching, or leadership coaching.
Do I contract with any HR coaching companies?
No, I work 100% for you. Contract coaches are generally new coaches or coaches who are unable to and/or don't want to maintain successful coaching practices.
Do I coach men?
Yes, I coach everyone. As a physician wellness lead, I have successfully worked with both men and women on wellness and mindset for years. As the mom of three young adults, the sister of two brothers, and the wife of a neurodivergent (male) spouse, I am an expert on the unique challenges males face.
Do I coach non-doctors?
Yes. I mostly coach doctors because I am one, but I love the variety of working with high-achieving professionals of all types.
If coaching works for physicians working in healthcare today, it will help you.
“The way Jessie communicates helps you understand the root of your issues and frustrations and makes solutions and changes feel simple to implement. “
I meet you where you are and guide you where you want to go.
I understand the emotional exhaustion, resentment, and confusion that grows when we have demanding careers, parenting responsibilities, intimate partners, and aging parents.
It is meaningful work and we love our families, and…
If you are struggling with stress, anxiety, reactivity, and feeling isolated, you are not alone.
There is a way out of disconnection, disappointment, and feeling stuck.
