Seven years ago, I had achieved “all the things.”
I had an Ivy League degree from Dartmouth, an MD from UCSF, a thriving pediatric practice, and several significant leadership positions at TPMG. I had a husband, a house, 3 sons, and even a dog.
On the surface I was successful. And yet, as is true for so many of you, I was struggling.
Checking all the boxes did not lead me to peace, contentment, and joy.
When my husband of 22 years began to struggle with his mental health, the added stress exacerbated my tendencies to try to “fix,” manage and control.
I found solutions through a combination of mindfulness and coaching.
When I changed myself, everything changed.
I started with one deep breath.
From here, I learned to pause and be present and notice. And then respond with clarity and intention.
This approach transformed my health, my doctoring, my parenting, and my marriage.
Mindfulness, compassion, and non-judgment are integral components of my coaching, yoga, and retreats.
These tools help you to slow down, create space, and learn to notice what's going on in your mind.
