We often describe being responsible for the mood as a burden but honestly, it’s better that we be in charge of the mood than someone else.
Most of us love to be in charge and love choice.
Your mood is a choice.
It is a result of adequate care for yourself— sleep, nourishment, nature, movement, etc.
It is also a result if the stories you choose tell about your life- as it is.
You can choose to craft healthier narratives about your day and your life.
You can choose narratives/stories that are equally as true as the unhealthy, crappy, draining ones.
Its ok to choose to be angry, frustrated sad and disappointed. Some situations call for this.
When you choose these, you regain control. They pass through more quickly.
Then you can get back to authentically choosing moods you prefer.
Get creative. Play with words. Play with stories.
Maybe you want the mood to steady, even, light, kind, peaceful, neutral, fun.
