When You Want Something Different

You have likely made some good decisions along the way.

There are likely more than a few things you have decided to do that have worked out ok.

Perhaps your life today is “mostly good.”

It is likely that most of the things that you have in your life today - you very much wanted at some point.

And you likely worked very hard to make them happen.

Finding a partner and making it work. Perhaps having children and raising them.

And choosing to pursue medicine, law, or something else.

All of these are something you likely specifically chose at some point.

From a place of wanting, optimism, and love.

Take a moment to connect with that wanting again.

Remember why you chose them.

And for a moment, want what you have.

It is powerful energy.

This energy helps you to experience your relationships and your life in a more equanimous way.

It also helps you move forward with grace, strength, and clarity.

If you want something different now it doesn’t mean you made a mistake.

You weren’t wrong.

You don’t need to have been wrong to want something different now.

You made the best decision you could at the moment with the information, and resources you had.

Now things look different.

You have grown, evolved, adapted, and changed.

You know more.

The world has changed.

Tell a story of your current life that is mostly good.

One where you made the best decisions you could at the moment and did the best you could.

Feeling empowered, mostly good, and like you know how to make mostly good decisions, will help you move forward and make the next decision from a place of strength and clarity.
