Presence and Allowing

We are moving into the 6th month of covid life.

This -and the summer fog in SF by the beach— has been feeling heavy.

Mindfulness, yoga and mindset coaching help me get through “heavy” times.

Yoga, mindfulness, and intentional thought work are a "way of life” that bring more peace, lightness, beauty, health, and acceptance.

When you pause and are present, things look different.

When you respond by being present, rather than trying to "fix things,” the energy shifts.

When you breathe deeply, you activate your parasympathetic nervous system and you feel more relaxed.

When you breathe in nourishment and breathe out what doesn't serve you including judgement, frustration, irritation, resentment and unmet expectations of yourself and your loved ones and the world, everything shifts— both physiologically and emotionally.

Changing a situation can be as simple as pausing to take a few deep breaths.

When we create space and compassion, stress dissipates and anxiety and tension lessen.

When we accept and allow—

"This is what we have today."

"Everything we feel is allowed.”

Heaviness, sadness, and exhaustion lighten.

When we resist feelings they grow stronger.

Accepting and allowing "what is" is the essence of yoga and mindfulness.

Finding balance between effort and ease and rooting and stretching is foundational in yoga and is key to equanimity and contentment for all of us.

In yoga, we set an intention.

Choosing to be intentional, and foster feelings of compassion, love, and acceptance is protective in times like these.

How do you want to feel in this moment in time?

When you look back at this time, what will you wish you had done more of?

What will you wish you had done less of?

Listen to yourself and start doing that now.

Even when you feel heavy.
