You Don’t Need To. You Want To.
Eliminate the word need from your vocabulary and watch the magic happen.
Taking this one word out of our vocabulary is a productivity tool and an anti-procrastination strategy.
I don’t need to write my talk proposal I want to.
I don’t need to take a break. I want to.
I don’t need to exercise. I want to.
Need implies less than. A shortage. It’s an “expensive” word.
Want is an abundant word rooted in desire. There is inherent motivation and energy behind it.
And you do actually “want” to do all these things.
Making simple impactful switches and changes in words, thoughts, and stories is what mindfulness and coaching help you do.
They help you move with the flow of the river instead of swimming against the current.
When you are no longer fighting your way upstream, the energy you save allows for clarity and action.
