Do You Approve of Yourself?

Or do you look outside yourself for approval?

The option of choosing to intentionally approve of myself was an epiphany.

Why not decide to approve of all that you are instead of looking to what you think you would, should, could be?

Approving of yourself, as you are, costs nothing and offers incredible value.

It is not a pass, it's gifting yourself energy, momentum, positivity, and hope.

Could you approve of how you have lived your life so far and the decisions you have made.

I have been practicing approving of myself for a several years.

It’s life changing.

I started by approving of my choice to go to med school, to be a pediatrician for 20 years, and to practice how and where I did.

I approved of myself for being the physician leader that I was, for the decisions that made, and for the wellness work I did and did not do.

I approved of my decision to train as a coach in 2018, leave my pediatric practice when and how I did to create Pause & Presence and all that it and I do and don’t do.

It feels amazing. Like taking off ankle weights.

I issue approval of my life now- coaching, retreats, yoga, speaking, mothering, etc..

I approve of the body I have and the house I live in.

I approve of the clothes I choose to wear,

what I look like,

what I like to do,

and how I do it.

I often share the phrase "I did the best I could at the moment with the information I had."

Approving of yourself is a step up.

It’s next level.

Approving of yourself as you are costs nothing and is incredibly valuable.

What might shift in your life if you decided to intentionally approve of yourself and all that you are?

I invite you to stop waiting for outside approval and instead start approving of yourself- today.

Full disclosure, it took me a long time to get here.

Getting help would have expedited my process. My hope in sharing this with all of you is that it plants the seed so that you get yourself help to start the approval process with less delay.
