Sometimes, in our Brokenness, We Find Our Greatest Wholeness
"When life breaks you, it is because you are ready to be put back together differently.
Every piece of you that feels shattered is a piece that will find a new place, a new purpose, a new meaning.
Trust that the cracks are where the light gets in.
And sometimes, in our brokenness, we find our greatest wholeness.
We find the courage to rebuild, to reimagine, to redefine what it means to be strong.
You are not broken;
you are breaking through." — Unknown
What matters is what you do in the moment of brokenness.
Do you support yourself well? Get help? Shift your perspective?
Do you lean in, notice how you are resourced, and learn new ways of moving forward?
Many of us drop into guilt, blame, victimhood, and shaming ourselves.
We should have done better. We should have known and made different choices.
We start comparing and despairing, doubting ourselves, and catastrophizing.
We can choose to change our narrative.
Instead of feeling broken, exhausted, defeated, disappointed, helpless, and hopeless, we can choose to be hopeful, empowered, energized, challenged, and resourced.
It isn’t polyana.
It’s courageous, strategic, and smart.
It’s loving and kind.
Rebuilding, redefining, and reimagining is the language of coaching.
Breaking through, instead of breaking, is exactly what mindset work and coaching help you do.
