Being Brave

Taking massive action is really hard and very scary.  There is fear, anxiety, and risk.  So many “what if’s” and “how’s” that are unknown.

A coach helps you open your eyes and see who you truly are.  You stop moving through life blindfolded and/or on autopilot.   But a coach can’t tell you what decisions to make.   A coach also unfortunately also can’t make the doing part easier.

Thoughts that helped me this week:

You cannot become what you want by remaining who you are.

Who will you be in a year if you change nothing?

Who could you be in a year if you do the hard thing?

If you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice.

If you don’t go after what you want, you will never have it.

If you don’t step forward, you are always in the same place.

Believing in yourself and betting on yourself is no joke.  Especially for those of us, who have spent our whole life doing what we were “supposed” to do or thought we “should.”

Courage is feeling fear and doing it anyway.  Coaching teaches you that the worst that can happen is a feeling.

Today,  I am still standing with infinite possibilities ahead.

Thoughts for the week ahead:

“I cannot think of any better representation of beauty than someone who is unafraid to be herself.”- unknown

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” - Socrates

“You would be surprised who is watching your journey and being inspired by it.  Don’t quit.”- unknown
