Your Future Self Will Thank You

What would your future self - a year from now wish you had done today and this year?

A great post-birthday question, and one I explore myself in coaching, and with my coaching clients all the time.

I frequently get asked how I made such a significant and graceful transition and transformation in my 50s.

Exploring this magic question deeply, through self-coaching and with a coach, was a game-changer for me.

Asking your future self is a tool to prevent disappointment and regret.

A tool to help you take responsibility for your dreams and your life experience.

It helps you trust yourself.

And follow your authentic path.

And show up for it all calm, grounded, and present.

This is also the question that got me to work with a coach myself.

I dilly-dallied around in self-doubt about whether it was “worth it.” I was sure I could do it myself.

My future self knew that if I truly wanted to transform, bloom, evolve, and grow, into the best version of myself - gifting myself support and a guide was the most efficient, loving, and kind thing I could do for myself my family, my colleagues my patients and my future clients and students.

My future self was infinitely wise.

So is yours.

What would your future self recommend you do today and this year?

I would love to hear.

Once you know what your future self recommends, there are many tools for getting to work on making them happen. This is the wisdom I share in my coaching groups, at my retreats, and in my yoga classes. Join me for one or all of these.

** If you are a woman physician, your future self will definitely thank you if you choose to join me in September at Sagrada for the Bourish and Transform retreat. If Sept doesn’t work, sign yourself up for Spring 2023. Live with no regtrets.

Sharing these retreats with all of you is something my future self knew I should do and I am thankful for it every day.
