Practice Presence

"I have learned how to be in the present.

How? asked the boy.

I find a quiet spot and shut my eyes and breathe."

Yet another quote from my new book.

Presence is that easy.

You can even do it with your eyes open and when it’s not quiet.

Our world encourages us to not be present.

To react.

To not breathe deeply.

The “school of unlearning” teaches you to be pause and be present again.

To notice.

To pay attention.

To breathe more deeply.

To stop reacting.

And act with intention.

Presence changes you.

Presence is a gift.

Practice it.

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.”--Maya Angelou

Presence makes sure you don’t miss those moments.
